Privacy Policy

Effective September 24, 2026

Restoq collects the information needed to run the waitlist and, once available, the Restoq service. Restoq does not sell personal information. Marketplace accounts are connected through the marketplace's own sign-in, and Restoq never receives marketplace passwords.

1. Who we are

Restoq is operated by Chase McLean, an individual based in Arizona, United States, doing business as Restoq ("Restoq," "we," "us"). Questions about this policy can be sent to chasepmclean@gmail.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers getrestoq.com, the Restoq waitlist, and the Restoq web application and storefronts when they become available (together, the "Service").

3. Information we collect

Waitlist

Email address, whether you are a reseller or distributor, the marketplaces or sales channels you use, and your business name if you provide it.

Accounts

Name, email address, business name and details, and the team members you invite. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored in hashed form.

Inventory, lots and listings

Information you add or import, including item details, photos, costs, lot manifests, listings, prices and sales records.

Connected marketplace accounts

When you connect an eBay or Depop account, you sign in on that marketplace's site and approve specific permissions. We receive access tokens and the data the marketplace provides under those permissions, such as your listings, orders, sale prices, fees and the buyer shipping details needed to fulfill orders. We do not receive your marketplace password.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card or bank account numbers. Distributors and resellers who accept payments through Restoq create Stripe accounts, and Stripe collects identity and banking information under its own privacy policy. We receive payment status, amounts and limited account details from Stripe.

Storefront purchases

When someone buys from a storefront, we collect the buyer's name, email, shipping address and order details, and share them with the seller to complete the order.

Resale certificates

If you upload a resale or tax exemption certificate, it is stored and shared with the distributor you provide it to.

Technical information

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested. The Restoq app uses cookies that are necessary for sign-in and security, and may use product analytics to understand how features are used. The marketing site does not use advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.

4. How we use information

To run the waitlist and contact you about access to Restoq.
To provide the Service, including creating and updating listings, syncing orders, ending listings after a sale, importing lots and calculating profit.
To generate listing drafts with AI, as described in section 5.
To process subscriptions and storefront payments through Stripe.
To send service messages such as order notifications, security alerts and account notices.
To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
To comply with legal obligations.

5. AI listing drafts

When you request a listing draft, the item details and photos you provide are sent to our AI provider to generate the draft. Under our provider's commercial terms, this data is not used to train its models. Drafts are not published until you review and approve them.

6. How we share information

We share information only as described below.

Service providers that host and operate Restoq for us, including hosting (Netlify), database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email delivery, error monitoring and AI (Anthropic). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
Marketplaces you connect. We send listing, inventory and order information to eBay, Depop and other marketplaces you choose to connect, at your direction.
Other Restoq users, as part of transactions. When a reseller buys from a distributor, each party receives the information needed to complete the order. Distributors see which approved buyers purchase their lots. Resale performance data is shared with a distributor only if the reseller opts in, and only in aggregated form.
Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Restoq, our users or others.
Business transfers. If Restoq is sold, merged or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Retention

Waitlist information is kept until you get access, ask to be removed, or we close the waitlist.
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 90 days after the account is closed, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting purposes.
Marketplace access tokens are deleted when you disconnect the marketplace or close your account.
If a marketplace notifies us that you closed your account there, we delete the data we received from that marketplace for that account, except where retention is legally required.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Marketplace access tokens are encrypted at rest. Access to user data is limited to what is needed to run the Service. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Request access to, correction of, export of or deletion of your personal information by emailing chasepmclean@gmail.com.
Leave the waitlist at any time by emailing us.
Disconnect a marketplace from Restoq, or revoke Restoq's access from the marketplace's own account settings.
Unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in each email.

We respond to requests within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy laws, and we honor those rights where they apply.

10. Age requirement

Restoq is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Where data is stored

Restoq is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we will notify account holders and waitlist members by email before the changes take effect.
